YOUNG KAYLEIGH CEREZO SUPPORTS CHARITY AT ST. THERESE IN COURTICE

Kayleigh Cerezo at CDO Concert in Courtice, July 24, 2015. (Photo: W.S.) The youngest of the Cerezo siblings who are devoted to music shared her talent in singing as a member of the Front Act performers alongside Samantha Gavin and Fienness Mendoza both emerging young artists. Kayleigh, despite her very young age has proven herself capable of carrying a superb performance. She has been sharing her beautiful voice with St. Therese being asked to sing at last year's Simbang Gabi at the same church (St. Therese Catholic Church) where the Archdiocese of Cagayan De Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines held their single concert in Ontario last July 24, 2015. The concert brought in huge turn outs of support from all over Ontario especially those who comes from the same place of the priests performing.  Kayleigh Cerezo, although the video is not full due to many distractions proved her cool and calculated style of singing. Sweet Kayleigh will remain to be an important member in our comm

CANADIAN SENATOR TOBIAS ENVERGA JOINS COMMUNITY IN SUPPORT OF CDO PRIESTS

I have been an avid supporter of Senator Enverga, acknowledging his contributions and commitments to the Filipino community and to Canada as a whole. As a Senator, his work schedules are understandably tight and overloaded. Yet again, he never fails to make rounds to support community events. Brief speech by Senator Enverga at St. Therese Church in Courtice, ON during the priests' concert, July 24, 2015. I always invited him in almost all my volunteering events and he always showed up with his wife in tow. An ideal portrait of a Filipino family which I love. Last night he showed up with Mrs. Rosemer Enverga at  St. Therese Catholic Church Hall where the Archdiocese of Cagayan De Oro Clergies held its concert to help build additional rooms for their retiring priests. I got a confirmation that he was coming long before the event started. I told the Clergies that a Filipino Canadian Senator was coming to watch the concert and the response was, "Who? What?..."

IPEN- International Professional Entertainment Network in Toronto give their resounding support for the Archdiocese of Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines "Remember Me Tribute Concert" to raise funds to build a home for their retired priests this Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Courtice, Ontario. Let me thank Mr. Edgar Sulit for his support on this event in Courtice. I also want to add that beauty pageants are not superficial. As what Miss Fienness Mendoza stated on her response to the Q&A portion when asked if a Beauty Pageant is 'superficial' and here's what Fien Mendoza says, "Beauty Pageants, it enhances your self esteem and increases your self- confidence." Let us welcome IPENnetics in Courtice!

I GOT CHOKED UP ON A SATURDAY

Yesterday, July 18th, will fill my journal of some unforgettable entries- the most was waking up at 3:00 am, picked up the VP of Oshawa's oldest Filipino organization and head to Heydenshore Park in Whitby. We needed to secure a shade for the  annual picnic. The mosquitoes were stabbing us all over. They got full tummy long before we even have breakfast. I left closed to 8am when the other Officers came for their shifts. I got home to think about the evening rehearsal for the concert this Friday, July 24th. At noon, we came back to the park for our lunch. It was full with so many people and the turn out was really significant. Of course, snap here and there for the DFCS FB group page. We left again to take a much needed rest. I was wearing dark glasses because if I don't I'd look like a panda. Before 6pm, a call came from Fien's mom, they were already in the church for the practice. "Bring some bread..." It's a long drive from Stony Creek. I brought in

Let's wait and see....
